Roulette for Australian Players

Roulette may appear on the surface to be a very glamorous again, because that may be the image created through certain forms of media. The fact is that it is an incredibly accessible game for online casino customers of all levels of skill. And unlike many of the land-based casinos that offer this game, online operations have the ability to offer more variety.

The basic rules and letter pretty simple; the pivotal piece of equipment is the roulette wheel, and there are slots for numbers 1-36 along with either a zero or a double zero. Then a ball is dropped into the wheel and it spins around; when it stops the ball drops into one of the slots on the wheel, and whatever number that slot corresponds to produces the winning number. In the European version of the game, there is only a zero (0). However, in the American version, there is both a zero and a double zero (00). This does indeed make a difference in the odds of the ball landing in any of the numbered slots, as you can imagine. In many online casinos, both the European and American versions of roulette are offered to the customer.

There is a roulette "layout," on which all of the numbers appear. And players can put bets anywhere they want. There are "inside" bets, which are put into the general, or main part of the layout, and "outside" bets, which of course are outside the general layout. Individual numbers are obviously not the only thing that can constitute a wager. In fact, combinations are very popular. So you will find players making bets on combinations of two numbers, for numbers, six numbers, even groups of a dozen numbers, such as the first 12, second 12, or third 12, which obviously correspond with the 36 total numbers available.

There are also even money bets on whether the number will be Red or Black, Odd or Even, High or Low. Each of these groups has 18 numbers and it. What we are trying to say is that there are a lot of different ways to go. Some people like to keep track of their results, and while in the land-based casino they can do it with a pen and paper, often provided by the house, on Microgaming roulette offerings, there is a player option to track results. Recording all the numbers is not necessarily going to bring about better results for you, but it might add to your amusement and enjoyment of the game.

What is important to remember here is that no matter what the player does, roulette does not become an "advantage" game. What we mean by that is that there is a consistent house advantage, and that is 5.26% on each bet. Many people have tried to conquer the game using certain betting strategies. One of the most popular is known as the "Martingale" system, in which the bet is doubled after every loss, operating on the theory that sooner or later there is going to be a win, at which point all losses are recouped, with a small profit left over. This is not profitable in the long run.
